Educational programme with the participation of Larnaka and Famagusta Music Lyceums Choirs and the contribution of Limassol Music Lyceum Jazz ensemble and Nicosia’s Music Lyceum traditional music ensemble.Our voyage is guided by the magic of music as we travel through time from the sounds of an ancient Greek tombstone inscription, to the devout byzantine hymns. The stream of time brings us to the West, into the experimentation of renaissance music, the flourishing baroque sound, the genius symmetry of classical music, the passion and ideologies of the romantic period to culminate with 20th century music. And yet, the journey has not reached its end. Modern times brings to the forth sounds of jazz for everyone’s pleasure. Finally, a light breeze carries us back to the starting point, the traditional Greek and Cypriot songs.
